Tania Shroff
Founder & Creative Director
Tania believes that people are innately creative. With 5 years as an editor and 4 years as a freelance content creator, she's seen how storytelling can help people empathise, connect and grow. Tania started Yellow Door Studio to support increasing projects from long-term freelance clients. As the clients grew, our team grew. Here we are, reminding each other that life is better when we colour outside the lines.
Melissa Albarus
Account Manager
With a knack for project management, a love for writing and a taste for F&B, Melissa has spearheaded impactful marketing campaigns for over 8 years, ranging from 3-day festivals to top Hong Kong restaurant launches. At Yellow Door Studio she collaborates with clients to craft compelling marketing, design, and branding experiences. She believes in getting things done – efficiently, proficiently, and preferably over a slice of cake.
Laura Dorwart
English Copywriter
Laura has a decade of experience in copywriting, UX writing, and content strategy. She's written for Forbes, The Guardian, Bitcoin, Buzzfeed and more. Laura believes that words can change minds and shift paradigms. With a background in journalism and copy editing, she's committed to crafting accurate, exciting content. She lives in Hong Kong with her husband and two daughters (and possibly a pet, if the older one gets her way).
Amy Tsang
Chinese Copywriter
Amy joins Yellow Door as our Traditional Chinese Copywriter (Cantonese speaking). With 6 years of experience and a background in branding and hospitality, she has worked with hotel groups such as Swire and Rosewood, and prides herself on staying up to date with the latest terms and trends. When she's not typing away, you'll find her handcrafting intricate jewellery and pursuing film photography.
Akira Mimasu
Designer
A multi-talented creative force, Akira has worked on everything from brand and UX/UI to digital, 3D, print, graphic and animation for companies like Vans Off the Wall and NIKE On Air Studio. When he's not crafting eye-catching visuals, you'll find him immersing himself in the vibrant world of art, sub-culture, and music. Whether it's rocking events like Boiler Room or joining forces with collectives like Silk Road Sounds, Akira is always in the mix, making Southeast Asia's Events & Arts scene buzz.
Daniel Barwell
Videographer
Dan is a creative producer and digital content specialist who combines strategy and vision to capture a crowd's gaze. He pairs his passion for action with an in-depth understanding of the cogs that keep video evolving. Over the years, Dan has led some of Yellow Door's core video production, exemplifying the art of making engaging content that celebrates Hong Kong. Notable clients include NBA, HSBC, Manulife and FOX.
Béatrice Hug
Design Consultant
Béatrice is a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for purpose. She approaches creative problem solving with the belief that good design cannot exist without better copy and strives to seamlessly pair the two. Her work exists to help good brands look good and do good. Loves include: tattoos, nervous laughter, commas, and all things yellow.
Elly Liu
Operations Manager
Elly was born and raised in China and moved to Hong Kong in 2013. When she's not chasing her 5-year-old son around Disneyland, you'll find her organising calls across our client's different time zones or hiking to the nearest beach. Here at Yellow Door, Elly manages the day-to-day operations, blasts out invoices and, essentially, keeps everything moving behind the scenes.
